This was a packaging project in which we were asked to design packaging for a company. I chose superdry, i decided to go down the route of the ethic of superdry and its background, during my research i looked into the history of japan. I drew out loads of things such as dragons, women and little japanese huts. This was my final piece which i drew by hand and put into photoshop to add more colours and make it stand out. I kept the superdry logo the same so you can tell which company it was for. I am really pleased with my final outcome.

On the surface
This was the latest project that i was given for my graphics course. The project was called on the surface and i chose urban to do my project on. I focused on the parkour and free running side of urbanisation so these are my two final pieces. I put a wall on one of my patterns and silhouettes of parkour/free runners and the other a concrete background and with the people on which i used the pen tool the get the shape and made them into brushes. Overall we had to put them onto magazine covers for the little white lies i really like my outcomes for this projects.

Blueberry
This was originally a photo that I changed to make it look like a piece of art work. I done this in photoshop to create the effect I used the blur tool to make it look like an oil painting, the brush I used was an oil pastel to get the nice glowing effect I have achieved here.
Jingle Bells
This piece of work was a random saying which i experimented with using different brushes on photoshop to create effects. I used ink splats and runs to create the effect I have got, the background is a canvas with different brush stains added to it to make it look old.
Chimney
This was an exercise I done in digital skills. It was adding effects to the word to look like its giving of smoke or turning into smoke. I done it on photoshop and applied smoke brushes to create the effect I have got. I put a gradient map over it to get the dirty colour that it has just like smoke has.

My First Blog
My name is Kristopher Averill, I am 17 from the North East of England and I am studying graphic design. I am starting a blog to share my work that I do and to share it with other designers. I have also done this to get comments and constructive criticism so I can make improvements to my work and make it look better. I want to look at other peoples work and see how it can inspire me in my work.
I chose the layout of my blog to be like this because I love the effect the background image gives off and the detail of it, I chose red and green as the colours because they are my favourite and the colours i most use in my work so it reflects my work.
My favourite style of work is mixed media. I love photographs that have been manipulated and drawn onto I think it looks really nice the effect of a photograph and a drawing in the same piece of work is very effective and stands out a lot.
